The New Hampshire Pipes & Drums fields a parade band and two competition bands in Grade 4 and Grade 5 events. The band was formed in 2002 as the New Hampshire School of Scottish Arts Pipes & Drums by world renowned Pipe Major Gordon Webster, formerly of the Scots Guards and Piper to HM Queen Elizabeth and professional piper and adjudicator, Lezlie Webster. The band was the natural development of the School’s exceptional programs in Scottish music and dance. For many years the band has performed extensively along with dance and fiddle students from the NHSSA. Beginning in 2010, the band has been reformed as the New Hampshire Pipes & Drums, but the relationship between the band and the NHSSA is as strong as ever.

The New Hampshire Pipes & Drums is a dynamic group with new members coming in regularly. They have maintained a membership of over 25 pipers and 15 drummers during the past several years. Members are of all ages and pipers and drummers are welcome to stop by our band practices on Thursdays at 6:30 pm at St. Benedict Academy, 85 Third St., Manchester, NH. Pipe and drum instruction is available through instructors from the band. Featured instructors are Campbell and Lezlie Webster.

Currently the band has both a Grade 4 Band and a Grade 5 Band.
